I enjoyed 5 a lot. Not gonna call it the best, but had a blast, and the villains are enjoyable enough in a fucked up way. I've played Just Cause 3 and Far Cry 5. JC3 handles more like GTA, though the grappling hook, parachute and wingsuit make cars obsolete. Far Cry 5 is a standard first person shooter with upgrades as you level up. In terms of chaos, JC3 is better. In terms of shooting stuff, FC5 is better. Far Cry 5 has better character perks and weapons customization. In new dawn the weapons are fixed, if you want a suppressed weapon you have to get one that already has a suppressor, and they're locked by tiers so you're forced to use certain weapons until you get to certain parts of the story, which is crap compared to Far Cry 5 where you can pick whatever you want at any time as long as you Far Cry 5 has a better outpost-building, in my opinion. Far Cry 5 has some really nicely designed outposts, and you can enter any building. Far Cry 4 has a better overall world building. Sadly, there are no radio towers to uncover maps in Far Cry 5 (I loved to climb them), but you can pick up a map to see points of interests. I'd rate 5 the better one, but 4 isn't far behind, so you should have a great time no matter which you go for. You could always go with 4 for now and if you enjoy it 5 is just there waiting for you with more gimmicks and a gorgeous world.
